Middlesbrough boss Tony Pulis had today provided an injury update on his Boro squad ahead of their clash with Bolton.
Middlesbrough’s injury update
Speaking ahead of Bolton Tony Pulis told Mfc.co.uk:
“Rudy (Gestede) was out for a long time, he’s training and has had a week with us.
“I’ll speak to the doctor and get him moving. He’s getting close, which is good for us.
“He’s been training with us, he’s had a week’s training and having been out for three months, it’s a lot for him.
“Jordan’s (Hugill) better, he looks leaner, he’s trained really and he’s a good lad.”
Middlesbrough vs Bolton
Middlesbrough head into Wednesday’s clash with Bolton joint second in the league.
The Teessider’s kicked off their season with a 2-2 draw with Millwall.
Boro would then pick up wins vs Sheffield United, Birmingham, Bristol and West Brom.
Middlesbrough then travelled to high flying Leeds United and managed to come away with a 0-0 draw.
But Boro’s latest game did not go so well.
Middlesbrough travelled to Norwich City, they did not play well and were not helped at all by some poor decisions from the officials.
To which Tony Pulis responded:
“It looked an absolute certain penalty for me down the other end of the pitch when Britt cuts inside the lad, he catches Britt with his thigh and Britt goes down.”
As a result, Boro would lose 1-0 suffering their first loss of the season.
As for Bolton, they currently sit in 10th place in the Championship with 11 points.
Bolton did go undefeated in their first four league games of the season, picking up three wins and one draw.
Since then though, they have lost 3-0 to Sheffield United, drew 2-2 with Preston and lost 2-1 to QPR.
