Mesut Ozil’s agent gives update on Arsenal star’s future before Burnley clash

Burnley vs Arsenal

Arsenal will play their final league game of the season away to Burnley tomorrow afternoon.

Heading into the tie, the Gunners are sat in 5th-place in the Premier League table, needing a miracle to break into into the top four.

In fact, they could slip down to 6th-place should they lose or draw versus the Clarets, in the case that Man United beat Cardiff City.

But with Arsenal now in the Europa League final, Unai Emery may choose to rest some players versus Burnley, as winning the final would guarantee them Champions League football next campaign.

Ozil future update

Prior to Arsenal’s final game of the season, Mesut Ozil’s agent has been speaking about his client’s future.

Ozil hasn’t had the easiest debut campaign under Unai Emery and has been linked with a move away from the Emirates.

However, the German is under contract until July 2021, and Erkut Sogut ensures that his client will be staying in London until at least then:

“Rumours will always persist, there is no doubt about that.

“But one thing I can guarantee is Mesut’s loyalty. His mind is focused on Arsenal, and Arsenal only. Mesut bleeds Arsenal red, and respecting his contract is a certainty.

“He’ll be staying at Arsenal until at least 2021, and the fans need not to worry about the gossip that may come this summer. He has found a place he feels welcome and believes he has a lot more to give.” As quoted by the Independent.
