Arsenal improving under Arteta
Mikel Arteta took the reins at Arsenal at the back end of December.
The Spaniard’s first game in the Gunners’ dugout saw Arsenal draw 1-1 with Bournemouth on Boxing Day.
The north London outfit have since faced six league games under Arteta, losing just once against Chelsea on December 29th.
Arteta has also guided Arsenal to the 5th round of the FA Cup, after picking up wins over Leeds United and Bournemouth in the 3rd and 4th rounds respectively.
Granted, a fair few of Arsenal’s games under Arteta have ended as draws.
But despite that, the Gunners do look to have improved somewhat under the Spanish tactician, especially at the back.

Ozil & Lacazette speak out
And it seems as though some of the Arsenal players are also noticing a difference under their new boss.
Mesut Ozil has recently spoken about how Arsenal are much happier as a team now, with the German also claiming that they have improved tactically:
“As a team, we are much happier and everyone wants to give everything for this club.
“Especially tactically we improve a lot and I hope in the future we will be more successful.”
Alexandre Lacazette also mentioned how Arsenal are better tactically, as well as stating that they are more together now:
“We are more together now.
“The way we think as well on the pitch and outside the pitch. Tactically we are better and we’re going to see a big improvement in the next few weeks.”

Arsenal’s next clash will see them play host to Newcastle United this coming Sunday.
Mikel Arteta’s side are currently sat 10th in the Premier League, 10 points adrift of a Champions League place.
As for Newcastle, they are 12th in the table, only behind Arsenal on goal difference.
