Tottenham in pole position to sign Bruno Fernandes
Benfica take on Sporting CP in the Portuguese Super Cup on Sunday.
According to Correio da Manha, the Super Cup will be the last time that Bruno Fernandes plays for Sporting.
Tottenham are reportedly leading the pack to sign the 24-year-old midfielder this summer.
However, Spurs face opposition from Real Madrid, while Man United are also name-dropped as another possible suitor.
Correio da Manha also note that Spurs have already had two bids for Fernandes rejected by the Lions.
Sporting have batted away a 45 million euro offer and a 60 million euro bid.
Will Spurs sign Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon?
Fulham returned to Championship action on Saturday, losing 1-0 away at Barnsley.
Tottenham target Ryan Sessegnon didn’t feature for Fulham in the defeat.
However, when Scott Parker was asked if Sessegnon’s absence was linked to Tottenham’s interest, the Fulham manager brushed that speculation aside.
After noting that Sessegnon is injured, Parker added that he expects the teenager to stay at the club this season.
Ryan Sessegnon did not feature for Fulham. Reports this week of interest from Tottenham but Scott Parker insists: “He is still coming back from a hamstring injury picked up in pre-season, he is still rehabbing and doing a bit of running now, that’s why he’s not featured” #ffc
