Mauricio Pochettino speaks out on Manchester United rumours

PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino has spoken out following reports linking him with the vacant Manchester United job.

Manchester United now face the task of finding a replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following the Norwegian’s departure on Sunday.

OGS was only officially relieved of his duties this morning, yet we have already seen several names linked with the Old Trafford post.

It was first reported that Manchester United are looking to test the waters with Ajax boss, Erik ten Hag.

This was followed by a claim that Cristiano Ronaldo wants Luis Enrique to be the new Red Devils boss, with the same report also linking Zinedine Zidane.

Then, in a fresh development, Sky Sports revealed that PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino is Manchester United’s no.1 choice to become their new manager next summer:

And on Tuesday, it has been reported that Man United’s players are now talking about Pochettino becoming their new boss in the dressing room.

However, Poch has since been asked about the Man United rumours on Tuesday evening, and his response was probably not what fans of the Red Devils wanted to hear:

“We cannot talk about that. My respect to my club – PSG. What other club is doing not my business. Am not going to make the mistake to talk. Things get misunderstood and out of context. I love PSG and the fans. Is fantastic time to be part of club.”

The South American added:

“My contract is to 2023. I am happy in Paris. That is a fact.”
