Mauricio Pochettino clarifies Pep Guardiola humble comments (video)

Mauricio Pohettino, was as you would imagine, a satisfied man after Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Chelsea at White Hart Lane.

The Spurs boss was much more expansive in how he answered questions compared to most interviews and press conferences, where Pochettino can often be quite guarded.

The Tottenham manager fielded a variety of questions regarding the win, including playing 3-5-2 and Dele Alli’s fine performance.

Pochettino clarifies Guardiola comments

Ahead of the Chelsea game, Pochettino spoke to Spanish news organisation EFE, and he felt some of his views on Pep Guardiola were twisted by the translations used in the English media.

For example, headlines such as “Mauricio Pochettino warns Pep Guardiola humility is needed for English success” were rife on Wednesday.

Around the 2:30 mark on the video below, Pochettino denies saying that the Manchester City boss should be humble.

The Spurs boss continues, saying he admires Guardiola a lot and feels he is one of the best managers in the Premier League.
