Where will de Ligt end up?
Ajax’s young sensation Matthijs de Ligt reportedly has an offer on the table from Manchester United, but he doesn’t want to join them.
Matthijs de Ligt’s name has been on the lips of many football fans for a number of months now.
After bursting onto the scene during Ajax’s 2016/17 Europa League run, De Ligt has since gone from strength to strength.
The Dutch defender impressed predominantly last season, captaining Ajax to the Champions League’s semi-finals, and playing a crucial part in their results.
As a result of those performances, de Ligt has been heavily linked with a move away from Amsterdam this summer.
However, despite reportedly having an offer on the table from Man United, Matthijs de Ligt doesn’t fancy a move to Old Trafford.
Matthijs de Ligt not keen on Old Trafford transfer
That’s according to reliable BBC journalist David Ornstein.
Ornstein, as per fellow BBC reporter Shamoon Hafez on Twitter, claims the only offer that Matthijs de Ligt currently has on the table is from Manchester United.
However, ‘the player does not want to go there’.

That will come as a huge blow for Manchester United, with de Ligt’s signing key if the Red Devils want to become Premier League title challengers again.
Interestingly, David Ornstein’s information goes against that of Sky Italia.
According to them this week, Juventus will sign Matthijs de Ligt.
It’s said that the Dutch defender has chosen the Turin giants, and that a fee could be in the region of £62 million.
