AC Milan vs Arsenal match preview
Arsenal return to the San Siro for the first time since February 2012. The Gunners lost 4-0 that night in the last 16 of the Champions League, a match that turned out to be Thierry Henry’s last ever appearance for the club.
Wenger’s men did almost turn it around in the second leg of the tie, winning 3-0 at The Emirates Stadium.
AC Milan had a busy summer in the transfer window, signing Leonardo Bonucci, Ricardo Rodriguez, Hakan Calhanoglu, Andre Silva, Lucas Biglia, Mateo Musacchio and Andrea Conti for a combined total of over €165 million.
Despite their summer spending spree, Milan didn’t start the season off very well and were 11th in the table on the 23rd of December.
Milan’s atrocious start to the campaign saw Vincenzo Montella lose his job in the Milan hotseat. He has since been replaced by AC Milan legend, Gennaro Gatusso who has totally revitalised the team.
AC Milan may be 7th in the Seria A table but their current form has been incredible.
Arsenal on the other hand, are simply atrocious.

AC Milan team news
Milan have been lucky with injuries this season. Their only major concern heading into Thursday’s game against the Gunners is the absence of Andrea Conti.
Conti’s replacement, Davide Calabria has impressed whilst taking Conti’s position. The 21 year old has a goal and an assist in his last two league games for Milan.
Andre Silva has struggled to settle into the Milan set up. The Portuguese forward was brilliant in World Cup qualification but is yet to score for Milan in Serie A.
Due to Silva’s lack of goals, Gattuso has opted to start with 20 year old Patrick Cutrone up front in recent matches. However, Silva has scored 8 goals in Milan’s 12 Europa League matches this term, and dropping him could prove costly.
Arsenal team news
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is ineligible for Arsenal’s trip to Milan.
Petr Cech is unlikely to start in the Europa League as David Ospina has been Arsenal’s cup keeper for the last couple of seasons.
Arsenal have been rocked by a major injury blow on the eve of their trip to Milan. Hector Bellerin will not travel due to a knee problem that sounds ominous for the Spanish full back.
Arsenal’s player of the season so far, Nacho Monreal, is ruled out of action for the next couple of matches with a back injury. The only other guaranteed absentees are Alexandre Lacazette and Santi Cazorla.Claim a £100 free bet on AC Milan vs Arsenal with Royal Panda
