Real Madrid have suffered a new injury blow with defender Raphael Varane set to miss games against Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
The exclusion of the Frenchman will be a blow to Madrid with such important fixtures on the horizon.
It has been revealed that the player has suffered a grade two injury in his left femoral biceps.
Los Blancos face Atletico Madrid at the weekend while the El Classico could well determine the La Liga title winners.
There will also be a Champions League clash with Bayern Munich as Madrid look to retain their title for the second time.
One thing is for certain, Varane will not be involved at the weekend but the club will be hopeful that he can make an early return.
Zidane: "It is not the injury that [Varane] had before, neither the last one nor the penultimate one, it is next to where he has the scar."
