Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood has, on Sunday, clinched what will no doubt prove to be just one of many individual awards earned over the course of his career.
Despite being just 18 years of age, Greenwood has managed to cement himself as an integral member of Man United’s attacking trident since football’s resumption in June.
The youngster is naturally a centre-forward, but has largely been deployed on the right of a front three by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
That hasn’t stopped the England under-21 international from taking the Premier League by storm, though.
Greenwood’s combination of pace, quick feet, a lethal strike and a keen eye for goal make him a nightmare to deal with for opposing defenders.
So impressive has Greenwood been of late, in fact, that Alan Shearer even tipped the teen to one day break his Premier League goalscoring record.
Greenwood wins award
Now, as mentioned above, Greenwood’s fine form has earned him an individual award.
Bruno Fernandes, unsurprisingly, has dominated Man United’s Player of the Month voting since he arrived at Old Trafford – clinching the last three awards in February, March and June.
However, July’s award has deservedly gone to Mason Greenwood.
The young forward earned a staggering 46 percent of the vote, beating out Anthony Martial, who finished second, and Bruno Fernandes, who finished third.

July saw Greenwood score three goals in six Premier League outings, including a key strike vs West Ham, which earned his side a point.
This finish, along with both of his goals vs Bournemouth, have also been nominated for Man United’s Goal of the Month award. Watch all of the nominated strikes below:
