Marko Arnautovic injury update before Liverpool & Leicester

Wolves 3 West Ham 0

West Ham travelled to Wolves on Tuesday as they looked to bounce back from their defeat to AFC Wimbledon.

However, the Hammers did exactly the opposite of that.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side were well and truly dominated by newly-promoted Wolves.

West Ham would not manage a shot on target all night and eventually came away with a 3-0 loss.

Goals from Romain Saiss and a Raul Jimenez brace saw Wolves take all three points.

West Ham were able to welcome back Marko Arnautovic vs Wolves after the striker missed their last two fixtures vs Wimbledon and Bournemouth.

Unfortunately, Arnautovic had very little impact on the game.

Marko Arnautovic injury update

Arnautovic was replaced in the 77th minute vs Wolves on Tuesday.

It has since been revealed that the Austrian suffered bruising to his foot in the 3-0 defeat.

Arnautovic has been a key member of West Ham’s side this season, scoring seven in 17 league games.

So, losing him for any amount of time is a huge loss.

West Ham’s next two fixtures are at home to Liverpool and then away to Crystal Palace.

Arnautovic may be able to recover from his bruised foot in time to face Liverpool.

The more likely scenario, however, is that he will be back to take on Crystal Palace.

West Ham are currently 11th in the league and now four points off 7th place Wolves.
