Lemina admits he wouldn’t mind leaving Southampton

This weekend, in an interview with French outlet Foot Mercato, Lemina has spoken about the possibility of leaving St. Mary’s.

Speaking diplomatically regarding his status on the south coast, the midfielder made clear that he’s interested in exiting Southampton. He said:

Today, I am at Southampton, I still have another three years of contract. But it is true that I do not rule out the possibility of seeing something else.

The last four months have not been easy for me, with my injury.

The coach (Ralf Hassenhüttl) put his team together. I want to start afresh. So why not leave.

Lemina also revealed that he has an agreement with the club to leave if he wants to do so:

We are in agreement. If I don’t feel good in this project, I can leave. Otherwise, the club is counting on me, there is no problem.

They are giving me the opportunity to be able to go elsewhere.

Where might Mario Lemina go?

Lemina has appeared to invite any suitors to speak to his representatives:

We are working on it with my agents, we are not putting ourselves under any pressure.

We are waiting truly for the best project, the best offer. We look at it day by day.

Moreover, Lemina has openly courted one of his former clubs – Marseille. He said:

OM is a special case. There are always many expectations around OM. You must not be in a hurry. Choices have been made, we must wait to see.

The project with the new investors seems very interesting, it deserves a little time.

Arsenal, Man City & Chelsea

Some other nuggets of information from Lemina in his interview.

Firstly, he claims that he’s now in great shape for the start of the new season.

Lemina also revealed that Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea previously targetted him. He said: “It’s always flattering. I got a lot of feedback, I was told it was true.”
