Borussia Dortmund’s Mario Gotze opens up on his return to football

It’ll take time

Borussia Dortmund and German national team star Mario Gotze has admitted that it will take time for him to get back to 100% after his return to football.

The midfielder had to take time away from football after it was discovered that the player had a metabolic disorder.

The ‘disturbances were discovered in February and to protect his health the player decided to step away from football and returned to action during the current pre-season.

Now, the player has explained that the metabolic disturbances are ‘a part of life’ and that he is just glad to be back.

“The metabolic disturbances are now part of my life. I am happy to be back and to be able to do what I love,” he explained.

“I can’t come back after five months of rehab only to be at 100 percent out of the blue. It will definitely take time.”

Borussia Dortmund will take on Bayern in the final of the DFL-Supercup this coming Saturday and Gotze will be looking to earn himself a spot in the team.

Dortmund set to lose star player to Arsenal?

While the news on Mario Gotze is positive, there is one piece of news today that Borussia Dortmund fans will not want to see.

One of, if not their best player is being linked with a move away from the club today and Arsenal are one of the teams linked.

It is said that the Gunners have submitted a bid for the player and that a move this summer could be a possibility.

Though the initial bid has been seemingly rejected and Arsenal must come back with another bid if they want to seal a deal.
