Third Milan spell?
Mario Balotelli has only been at Nice for a few months but is already thinking about his next club. The Italian forward was quoted by Gazzetta speaking about his start to the season and plans for the future. Having scored seven goals in his first ten games for the French club, he should come back into the international reckoning soon.
But what about moving back to Italy? “I’ve always been a Milan fan, even though I played for Inter. Then never say never, but Inter is very complicated. If I go back to Italy, I think AC Milan.
“Now I want to try to win the championship here. Then when the year is over, we’ll see.”
Could a third spell with Milan really be on the cards for Balotelli? Never say never.
Speaking about a potential return to England, he ruled out a return to Liverpool but did name Arsenal as a team he’s always liked: “The first one I think of in England is Manchester City. The second team I always liked is Arsenal.
“That doesn’t mean I’ll go to play there. I just like them.”
Ballon d’Or goal
There’s no doubt that Milan would want him back if he could achieve his ambitions. Speaking about the Ballon d’Or, Balotelli reiterated his belief that he’s good enough to win that trophy: “Ronaldo and Messi. No one is like them. But if I do a good season without injuries and concentrated, it is not impossible for me to win the Ballon d’Or.”
