Marcus Rashford had a very up and down 2018/19 campaign.
The forward started the season pretty slowly, scoring just three goals in his first 14 Premier League outings.
However, when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer first took charge of United, Rashford looked a completely different player.
The 21-year-old was handed a much more central role for United, and his goal-scoring improved massively.
In his first eight PL appearances under OGS, Rashford would score six and assist two.
But his form would once again decline towards the back end of the 2018/19 season.
In fact, in his last 11 league outings for United, Rashford found the back of the net just once.
Rashford’s contract demands
Despite the huge dip in his goal-scoring form, though, Rashford looks to be eyeing a rather lucrative deal with the Red Devils.
According to the Mirror, Rashford wants a new contract worth a staggering £300,000-per-week.
That is £30,000 more (per week) than the Mirror report Paul Pogba as being paid.
Also, as per the Mirror, Rashford’s advisers have apparently pointed out that the young forward offers a lot more value for money than Alexis Sanchez, who is believed to be on £450,000-per-week.
Rashford’s current contract runs until the end of the 2019/20 season, but he is reported to have an option for an extra year.
One club that has been linked with a move for Rashford in recent weeks is FC Barcelona.
