Everton to sign Andre Gomes permanently?
Andre Gomes joined Everton on a season-long loan from FC Barcelona earlier this summer.
Gomes has made 78 appearances for Barca but he had only scored three and assisted four in that time.
However, at Everton, Gomes is getting back to his best.
Unfortunately, Gomes came to Everton with a muscle injury and as a result, missed Everton’s first eight league games this campaign.
Since returning from injury, the 25-year-old has started all six of Everton’s Premier League games and has been very impressive.
As a result, Everton boss Marco Silva has been asked if he wants to sign Gomes on a permanent basis from Barca.
Speaking to the media about Gomes on Tuesday, Silva had this to say:
“Everything we can do to sign a quality player like him it would be really important for us. Let’s see what we can do.”

Everton to undergo squad overhaul
Signing Andre Gomes could well be part of the reported squad overhaul Everton are said to want to undergo.
Everton are currently flying high in 6th place under Silva and now it seems that the Toffees’ are keen to make some big changes to improve their squad.
Two of which, could see Everton sell both Morgan Schneiderlin and Oumar Niasse in the January window with Gomes a potential permanent replacement for the duo.
