Plenty of problems before Wolves
Marco Silva has opened up on Everton’s left-back crisis after Leighton Baines suffered injury and Lucas Digne was sent off against Huddersfield.
The Toffees haven’t been solid defensively for the majority of the season and that was emphasised when Millwall put three past them in the FA Cup.
Though, it’s about to get a lot more difficult for Silva and Everton.
With Leighton Baines possibly out of the Wolves clash with an injury and Lucas Digne now serving a suspension, the club have no fit left-back.
The question now is, which player will have to play in that position?
Jonjoe Kenny played that position after Digne was sent off but questions remain as to whether he will be the option on Saturday.
Now, Silva has given his thoughts on the situation.
“You are here to find an answer”
Silva explained that it is ‘not a normal thing’ to be in this position.
Though, if Jonjoe Kenny is needed, there are no doubts about his commitment.
“Of course I don’t have doubts,” Silva explained to the Liverpool Echo.
“You are here to find an answer and a solution to these type of things.
“We changed one left back who was injured and afterwards our other one took the red card, it’s not a normal thing.
“It’s not a normal thing for me personally to have two fullbacks on the bench even, but like you know we have Mina and Jagielka injured so there is no central defender as an option.
“When I put a player like Kenny on the pitch I never have doubts about his commitment or his attitude on the pitch.
“It will always be 100%. Like all players, he can play well or not, he can perform well or not.
“But about his commitment and attitude on the pitch, I have no doubts because he is that kind of football player.”
