Will Everton strengthen in the next window?
Everton boss Marco Silva has given a small insight into what the club’s plans are for the January transfer window as they start to hit form.
The Toffees made a decent start to the season with good results against Wolves and Southampton.
Though, their form started to dip and they struggled for several weeks.
Things started to pick up again when they beat Fulham 3-0.
That win was then followed up with an impressive win over Leicester at the King Power Stadium.
Now, they will be looking to start moving up the table and push for a European spot.
‘We are open to that and we will be clear again in our targets because that is my way to work’
Despite signing plenty of players in the summer, Silva has explained that he’s open to signing more in January if ‘the possibility to improve again’ arises.
“It is important for me to repeat one, two or three times the same starting XI, where you can get through some important connections between the players,” he explained in an interview with the Liverpool Echo.
“Then after that we have a long time to talk about January and the next market as well.
“Of course you are always aware, you are always analysing.
“Of course, I won’t tell you, but if you asked me what is my idea for the next three months or the next 10 months, I know more or less. But now is not the time to talk about that situation.
“The most important thing for us is to close our squad, produce strong work behind the scenes and improve what we have with our players.
“In the next market, if we have the chance or the possibility to improve again, we are open to that and we will be clear again in our targets because that is my way to work.”
