Marco Silva confirms Richarlison injury blow before Chelsea

Big boost for Chelsea

Everton boss Marco Silva has confirmed that one of the sides star men is a doubt for the game with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The Toffees will travel to London on Sunday for a game in which they will be huge underdogs.

Chelsea are the only side in Europe’s top five leagues to remain unbeaten in all competitions.

Maurizio Sarri has got his side playing some fantastic stuff and that’s why Everton will need to be at their best to come away from the game with even a point.

Now, that monumental task just got an awful lot harder with one of their key men set to miss the game.

Richarlison a doubt for Sunday

That is because possibly Everton’s most influential player, Richarlison, is set to miss the game this weekend.

It was reported on Thursday that the player had missed training.

Then, it was confirmed by Marco Silva on Friday that the player was only able to take part in some of the session today.

With that in mind, he claimed that the player is a doubt for the game.

Though, Everton will continue to monitor him.

“We have one more session. He is a doubt for the game,” Silva explained in his press conference.

“Nothing changed from yesterday to today. Let’s see how he reacts after the work he did this morning.

We know he’s an important player for us, playing as a striker or out wide as well.

“If he’s not fit, there are options for our other players to play there.”
