Marcelo Bielsa has provided a team news update on his side ahead of their upcoming meeting with Crystal Palace.
Leeds vs Crystal Palace
As we head towards the busy festive period, we are being treated to our first midweek Premier League action of the season in the coming days.
One of the first clashes of the gameweek will see Leeds United play host to Crystal Palace at 8:15 pm UK time.
Leeds head into the game still struggling for form. The Peacocks sit dangerously close to the relegation zone, just three points above a Burnley side who have played one game less after their clash with Tottenham was called off on Sunday.
Leeds are also the third-lowest scorers in the division at present and have shipped 20 goals in 13 outings.
As for Crystal Palace, they had been in decent form, but they were dealt a 2-1 loss at the hands of Aston Villa in their previous outing.
Leeds team news
Ahead of the Palace game, Marcelo Bielsa spoke to the press on Monday morning.
The Argentine discussed a number of topics in his presser, including team news.
And, though it is not exactly great news for Tuesday, Bielsa did confirm that Patrick Bamford will play for the under-23s on Monday, as will Luke Ayling.
Bielsa also stated that Kalvin Phillips is available to face Palace:
“Bamford and Ayling will play with the U23s today. The recovery of Koch is on schedule. Kalvin available for tomorrow’s game.”
