Marcelo Bielsa joins Leeds’ supporters in hailing returning midfielder after Leicester

Leeds United’s supporters have been joined by manager Marcelo Bielsa on Sunday evening, in singling one of the club’s stars out for special praise.

Barnes secures share of the spoils

Bielsa and co. marked their return to action a short time ago.

On the back of a harrowing opening to the campaign, the Whites welcomed Leicester City to Elland Road, aiming to build on a timely upturn in form of late.

And, when all was said and done, Leeds’ encouraging stretch of results heading into the international break only continued.

A hard-fought affair ultimately played out into a 1-1 stalemate, after Raphinha’s opener midway through the first-half was cancelled out almost immediately by Harvey Barnes:

Forshaw hailed

In turn, on the back of another positive day’s work for their side, it should come as little surprise to hear that the Leeds faithful have since been keen to single a number of the club’s stars out for praise.

Raphinha, Kalvin Phillips and Rodrigo all impressed on Sunday, to guide the Peacocks ever further away from the Premier League relegation zone.

It is another member of Bielsa’s squad, however, who has been more widely hailed than any other.

The player in question? Adam Forshaw:

Midfielder Forshaw, remarkably, was handed his first league start for a full two years up against Leicester, on the back of a torrid spell out of action with injury.

And the 30-year-old went on to lay claim for an immediate return to starting duties on a weekly basis at Elland Road, excelling in an all-round display alongside Kalvin Phillips.

In turn, Leeds’ supporters have been joined by boss Bielsa in revealing their delight with Forshaw’s return to form, who has been hailed for ‘never giving up’:
