Manchester United set impressive record with win over Brentford

Manchester United register comfortable win

Although it didn’t look like developing as such for much of the first-half, Manchester United eventually came out comfortable winners away to Brentford at the Community Stadium.

A terrible opening 45 saw David De Gea called into actions several times, sparing the Red Devils’ blushes, but they more than made up for it in the second-half.

Goals from Anthony Elanga, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood saw the visitors home, despite a minor tantrum from Cristiano Ronaldo when he was substituted with 20 minutes to go in the game.

It moves Manchester United to within two points of the top-four, and level on points with Arsenal in 6th place in the Premier League, as the race for Champions League football hots up.

United set new record

Now, it has been revealed that, in the process of sweeping aside Brentford, Manchester United set a new record.

The Red Devils registered their 300th away win in the Premier League, becoming the first side to do so in the process.

Despite their recent struggles, it is hard to imagine that United do not stay out in front in this standing, with the side seemingly improving somewhat under Ralf Rangnick, and the influence of Cristiano Ronaldo unable to be written off.

In a season during which everything seems to be going the way of their cross-city rivals, it is a small victory for the red half of Manchester.
