Manchester United set to face huge battle to keep hold of Real Madrid target

Interested again

Real Madrid are thought to be gearing up for another attempt at luring David De Gea from Manchester United according to the Guardian.

All had gone quiet on that front, yet it seems that now United have ended their interest in Alvaro Morata, Real are ready to pounce in order to land De Gea, and will not wait around to get the goalkeeper.

However, Mourinho is prepared to resist any and all approaches for him, and the club are in a far better position than last time the Spanish giants came calling, when De Gea came within a fax of moving.

Strong position

One thing is for sure – United’s relationship with Real Madrid is so bitter the two clubs are arguing over training facilities for their pre-season games in the USA.

With De Gea having two years left on his current deal, and Mourinho knowing selling him would not only unsettle and weaken the squad so close to the start of the season, but would also show United to be a selling club, the La Liga giants can try, but landing De Gea may prove harder than they had anticipated.
