Man United scouting Felix and Dias
Manchester United sent scouts to watch Benfica’s latest game vs Belenenses on Monday evening.
The reason for their trip to Portugal was to scout both Joao Felix and Ruben Dias, according to Portuguese outlet Record.
The Benfica pair would likely cost United a hefty fee though.
Dias is said to have a release clause of around €60m while Felix’s is understood to be in the region of €120m.
Dias and Felix excel for Benfica
Despite being just 19 and 21 years of age Felix and Dias are already looking to be top quality assets for any side in Europe.
Felix is a recent product of Benfica’s youth academy who has only newly cemented himself in their senior side.
The attacking midfielder has played 30 games across all competitions for Benfica this campaign, in which he has scored 11 and assisted six.
As for Dias, the 21-year-old has a bit more experience under his belt.
Like Felix, he is a product of Benfica’s youth system but he has already managed 73 first-team appearances for Encarnados.

Dias is having a particularly impressive 2018/19 campaign. The young defender has managed to play 43 games, scoring three and assisting two.
Dias has also already earned seven caps for Portugal’s senior side.
Given his promise, Dias could be an excellent addition to Manchester United’s slightly poor defence.
While Victor Lindelof and Chris Smalling have improved under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, United are still without a top class central defender.
