Manchester United have a plan to make sure that they will not be losing their star goalkeeper David De Gea to long-term suitors Real Madrid.
That comes in the form of a long-term bumper contract which will go beyond his current deal which will run out in 2019.
If the Red Devils were to not offer him a new deal soo, Real Madrid would possibly be able to snatch the player for a cut-price fee.
Though, Manchester United officials will not let that happen and will start talks over a new deal during the coming weeks.
Reports today suggest that the club are confident that they can agree a deal with the player to ensure he will not be moving to Real Madrid anytime soon.
Los Blancos have made several attempts to buy the player over the past few years and infamously came within minutes of signing him a couple of years back.
It was due to some late paperwork that a deal fell through which would have seen Keylor Navas go the other way.
Now, Manchester United are insistent that the player will not be swapping Manchester for Madrid anytime soon and will give him a contract to ensure that is known.

Man United and Chelsea fight for starlet
While Manchester United are looking to keep hold of some of their best players, they are also looking to add to that.
That comes in the form of a young star in European football who Chelsea are also tracking.
Though, Antonio Conte’s side are said to be winning the race for the player.
Manchester United will not like the sound of that and will no doubt go all out to sign the promising player.
