As per a growing number of reports in France, Premier League giants Manchester United have taken the lead in the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain full-back Serge Aurier.
Aurier, a powerful Ivorian full-back, has shown flashes of his immense potential during his 3 years with PSG, though a number of disciplinary problems off the pitch have seen the 24-year-old slip down the pecking order in the French capital, with Thomas Meunier having firmly established himself as the club’s first-choice right-back this past season.
Dani Alves has since arrived at the club on a free transfer from Juventus, meaning Aurier is now very much surplus to requirements at the Parc des Princes.
Juventus had been rumoured to be leading the race for Aurier, though the Serie A side look an unlikely destination following the arrival of Mattia De Sciglio from AC Milan this afternoon.
Interest on the part of Premier League giants Manchester United had been reported last weekend, with manager Jose Mourinho said to be a firm believer in the talents of the former Toulouse standout.
The Red Devils are known to be in the market for a right-back, and, with Aurier said to be available for a fee in the region of 25 million Euro, the club are now readying a bid.
