Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba provides update on injury recovery

Pogba provides injury recovery update

Paul Pogba has hardly featured for Manchester United this season.

The Frenchman has notched just eight appearances across all competitions for the Red Devils in 2019/20, largely due to injury woes.

Pogba did manage to feature in back-to-back league games in December, but he has been out of action since then.

It was then reported on January 7th that the World Cup winner had undergone ankle surgery.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s latest update on Pogba came last weekend, when he stated that the midfielder is not ready to join in with training yet:

“Marcus and Paul are not ready yet to join in the training.” As quoted by Manchester United’s official website.

Now, on Wednesday the 12th of February, Pogba has taken to social media to provide an update on his injury recovery.

The former Juventus standout posted a video to his official Instagram account, in which he states:

“Four weeks after surgery, feeling good.”

Chelsea vs Man United

Man United’s next clash will see them take on Chelsea on Monday the 17th of February.

Given Solskjaer’s aforementioned update on Pogba, you would imagine that he will not be featuring on Monday.

But United would likely have been hoping that Pogba could have participated vs the Blues, because it is such a huge tie for them.

Man United will kick-off at Stamford Bridge six points adrift of Chelsea, who are currently 4th in the Premier League.

So, should United lose vs Frank Lampard’s side, it would see them fall nine points behind the Champions League spots.
