Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is looking to offload left-back Luke Shaw who has struggled for game time following his £30m move to Old Trafford back in 2014. The Portuguese coach is looking to replace Shaw with a Champions League quality player.
No lucky break…
Luke Shaw has seemingly struggled to recover from a nasty leg break suffered back in 2015 against PSV.
Shaw has made just 27 appearances for the Red Devils over the last two seasons.
the 22-year-old has sustained a staggering 17 injuries whilst at Manchester United.
He is currently recovering from lisfranc joint injury (foot).
The agent of the England international has however stated claims that he wishes to remain at the club:
“Manchester United love him and Luke Shaw loves Manchester United.”
Future not Shaw for Luke
Mourinho is hoping to offload Luke Shaw in a bid to raise funds to sign a left-back who is of Champions League quality.
Recently linked has been Tottenham’s Danny Rose, who has recently spoken of his desire to play up North.
Rose would cost United in the region of £60m.
It is also understood that Manchester United are targeting AS Monaco’s Thomas Lemar and again selling Shaw would help fund a move.
