Man United eyeing German stars
The Mirror published a report on Saturday evening that will no doubt have piqued the attention of Manchester United’s fans.
The report claimed that United’s Ed Woodward has greenlit a £125m double swoop for two Bundesliga stars.
The players in question are Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller and Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz.
Thomas Muller has been on Bayern Munich’s books for his entire senior career, nearly racking up a half-century of appearances for the German powerhouse.
However, with the 30-year-old’s game time dwindling, it has been reported that the attacker could be eyeing the exit door in January.
As for Havertz, he has been lighting up the Bundesliga this campaign, scoring two and assisting one in eight outings.
According to the Mirror, both players were scouted by Man United on Saturday:
United despatched their top scouts to Germany on Saturday to watch 20-year-old German international Havertz in action against Werder Bremen as well as watching Muller in Bayern Munich’s clash with Union Berlin.
Norwich vs Man United
While United appear to be eyeing some transfers in the near future, their attention must now turn to their clash with Norwich.
The Red Devils will face off with the newly-promoted outfit in one of three Premier League ties kicking off at 4:30 pm UK time on Sunday.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side began Sunday 15th in the PL. But they could move as high as 10th with a win over Norwich.
As for the Canaries, they began the day 19th in the English top-flight.
