Manchester United injury blow: Marcus Rashford limps off vs Croatia

England vs Croatia

England hosted Croatia on Sunday in their final group clash of the UEFA Nations League.

After Croatia managed to beat Spain 3-2 England needed to win to ensure they topped their group over Spain.

England’s first game of this international break saw them beat USA 3-0 in what was Wayne Rooney’s final game for England.

England played a very weak side vs USA in order to have a full-strength squad fit for the key clash with Croatia.

The first 45 saw very little action from either side and the teams would go in at 0-0.

However, Croatia would take somewhat of a surprise lead through Andrej Kramaric in the 57th minute.

This meant England needed to come from behind if they wanted to qualify.

England would press for an equaliser and would eventually be rewarded in the 78th minute.

Jesse Lingard would come off the bench and get the goal England needed just five minutes later.

England would continue to press for a second goal and would get their breakthrough in the 85th minute via Harry Kane.

Marcus Rashford looks injured

While England topping their group is excellent news, Manchester United fans will not be too pleased coming out of the game.

This is because Marcus Rashford would be subbed off in the 73rd minute for Jadon Sancho with Rashford limping off down the tunnel after being replaced.

Manchester United’s next game sees them host Crystal Palace on the 24th of November.

The extent of Rashford’s injury is currently unknown but United fans will be hoping he is back for the Palace clash.
