Manchester United fans plead club to offer David de Gea new contract

Manchester United lead Swansea City 2-0 courtesy of goals from Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku, who netted for the 100th in the Premier League.

However, one man has taken all the plaudits this afternoon at Old Trafford; that man being David de Gea, with the 27-year-old producing two world-class saves in quick succession to maintain the Red Devils’ lead.

Manchester United supporters have taken to Twitter to label the Spaniard as ‘the best goalkeeper in the world’ and have called for the club to offer him a new contract.

Manchester United currently remain in the process of negotiating a new contract with their Spanish goalkeeper in order to fend off constant interest from Real Madrid.

Old Trafford officials remain intent on tying the keeper down to a new deal and this afternoon versus the Swans he has shown exactly why they are so keen to do so.
