Manchester United boost as Anthony Martial resumed training on Monday

Manchester United’s fans have, on Tuesday, received some positive news regarding Anthony Martial.

Roma vs Man United

Manchester United will be back in Europa League action on Thursday evening.

The Red Devils are of course set to play out the second of two semi-final meetings with Italian outfit AS Roma, with the upcoming tie to take place at the Stadio Olimpico.

The game, however, is in truth of little importance to Manchester United, who have already all but secured their spot in this season’s Europa League final.

This comes with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men having earned themselves a staggering 6-2 win over Roma last time out.

The Italians actually took a 2-1 lead into the break at Old Trafford. But, amid a combination of injury woes on Roma’s part, and some quality finishing from the hosts, United went on to net on five occasions over the course of the 2nd-half.

The latest on Anthony Martial

Ahead of Thursday’s game, meanwhile, Man United have also been handed a boost on the personnel front.

Anthony Martial limped off in France’s 2-0 win over Kazakhstan at the end of March, and has been sidelined since.

However, as per Sport Witness, citing French outlet L’Equipe, Martial resumed training with Man United on Monday.

The forward, though, looks set to play no part at the Stadio Olimpico, with it added that Martial will not be fit enough to take on either Roma, or Aston Villa at the weekend:
