Manchester United and Tottenham transfer target extends incredible run

Dubbed as one of the best young talents in British football and constantly linked with both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, Ryan Sessegnon has today further extended his quite remarkable run of scoring for Fulham.

The left-back, who has also been playing at left-wing, netted his 14th goal in the Championship this season to help Fulham defeat Derby County 2-1 away from home.

Sessegnon and Fulham have been flying in the Championship this season and today’s win moves the Whites up into fourth – well within a spot for the playoffs.

This 17-year-old sensation has been absolutely magnificent this season and has shown exactly why the Premier League big boys are after him.

Remarkably, the winger is currently Fulham’s leading scoring in the league this season and the division’s fourth highest goal scorer – which is mind-blowing given his age.

Last summer, he turned down interest from the Premier League duo to sign a new contract at Fulham, meaning his value is likely to be pretty staggering; with talk of £50m.

Manchester United have been on the lookout for a new left-back for some time now and with such a big talent like Sessegnon potentially becoming available, the Red Devils are interested.

Tottenham have been long-term admirers of the player, with manager Mauricio Pochettino having such a great record for developing young, English talent – a factor that could sway Sessegnon’s decision should he leave.

Award winner

His efforts this season were recognized on Thursday as he was awarded both the EFL Player of the Year and London Young Player of the Year at The London Football Awards 2018.
