Sterling puts three past Atalanta
Manchester City would play host to Serie A outfit Atalanta on Tuesday in their 3rd Champions League game of the season.
City were looking to make it three wins out of three in Europe this campaign after already seeing off Shakhtar Donetsk and Dinamo Zagreb.
Man City’s evening did not get off to a great start with Atalanta taking the lead in the 28th minute.
However, inspired displays from Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero eventually saw the Citizens comprehensively beat Atalanta by five goals to one.
Sterling’s second-half performance vs Atalanta was particularly enthralling.
The England international would bag himself a hat-trick in just 11 minutes at the Etihad on Tuesday.
Sterling also set up Aguero for his first of the evening.
After an emphatic display on Tuesday, Raheem Sterling has been named the Champions League Player of the Week.
The City attacker beat Liverpool’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, PSG’s Kylian Mbappe and Juventus’ Paulo Dybala to the award.
3 goals & an assist = Player of the Week!

Man City vs Aston Villa
Man City are now set to face off with Aston Villa at home on Saturday.
City reduced the gap between themselves and Premier League leaders Liverpool from eight points to six points last weekend and they will no doubt be hoping for something similar this week.
Villa are currently 12th in the PL winning their last two league ties but Dean Smith’s side have kept just two clean sheets in the English top-flight this campaign.
As for Liverpool, they are at home to Tottenham this weekend.
