Manchester City board member responds to Pep Guardiola exit reports

Guardiola is not happy

Manchester City’s Alberto Galassi has responded to reports suggesting that manager Pep Guardiola will join Italian giants Juventus this summer.

Guardiola has been pivotal in Man City’s recent success.

Despite struggling in his first campaign, Pep has been a revelation ever since.

City are almost unstoppable in the Premier League, having won the title in consecutive years.

While a Champions League triumph has evaded Guardiola so far, their domestic treble success this season shows just how far City have come.

As a result of Guardiola’s management, there have been reports this week suggesting that Juventus have made moves to sign him.

Those reports reached their peak on Thursday, with suggestions that Guardiola will sign for Juventus on June 4.

He will reportedly earn 24 million euros a season, signing a four-year deal.

However, one Manchester City board member has now quashed those rumours, labelling it ‘fake news’.

‘It’s ridiculous, it’s fake news!’

Speaking to Sky in Italy, as cited by the Mail, Man City board member Alberto Galassi has claimed the news is ‘ridiculous’.

Galassi also revealed that Pep Guardiola is angry with the reports and that the Catalan boss doesn’t want to leave Manchester City.

‘Guardiola doesn’t want to leave Manchester City,’ Galassi explained.

‘Today I spoke with Pavel Nedved (Juventus vice chairman) and we laughed about it. Guardiola is angry about these stories.

‘It’s ridiculous, it’s fake news!’

While Guardiola may not be around forever, it doesn’t look like he has plans to leave Manchester City any time soon.
