Manchester United hammer Watford
Sunday’s early Premier League kick-off saw Manchester United play host to relegation-battling Watford.
After Chelsea picked up three points versus Tottenham on Saturday, United really needed a victory vs the Hornets to ensure that they stayed in the hunt for 4th spot.
Nigel Pearson’s side hadn’t been in great form prior to kicking off at Old Trafford, and Man United took full advantage of that.
The Manchester powerhouse eventually broke the deadlock 42 minutes in from the penalty spot.
January signing Bruno Fernandes was brought down in the Watford box. The free-scoring midfielder then stepped up to bag his first United goal.
Man United doubled their lead 58 minutes in via Anthony Martial, before Mason Greenwood added a third to ensure Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s outfit were bringing home all three points.
