A brilliant story surrounding Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has been garnering plenty of attention online over the last 24 hours.
21-year-old attacker Rashford has endured a hit-and-miss start to the new season, having been handed starts in just 4 of Manchester United’s 10 Premier League outings to this point.
All told, the youngster has racked up just a solitary goal across all competitions, a largely-disappointing return for a player considered by many to be the most-gifted U21 player in England.

Rashford’s Halloween gesture
However, while Rashford’s form on the pitch has left a lot to be desired at times this season, his class off of it has been gaining widespread attention across social media since last night.
This is due to a brilliant gesture on the part of the English international, who made the night of a group of young trick-or-treaters even more special during a drive through Sale, as highlighted by journalist Simon Austin:
My 8 year old has just been trick or treating with 4 other friends in Sale. Nice man pulled up in his car. Lady in passenger seat said ‘sing happy birthday, he’s 21 today’, so they did. And he gave each of them a £20 note. Thank you @MarcusRashford 👏🏻👏🏻

After some had called into question the legitimacy of Austin’s story, one individual pointed to the fact that Rashford himself had ‘liked’ the Tweet, putting to bed the doubts of a whole raft of naysayers:
Rashford has himself liked the tweet. Does this finally end this pointless “didn’t happen” wave of foolishness? pic.twitter.com/XdGgnWUDNk
