Marcos Rojo filmed playing poker & smoking

Has Marcos Rojo’s brother dropped the Man United defender in hot water?

Eagled-eyed social media followers caught an Instagram video posted by Franco Rojo on Saturday.

The video featured a poker game. Man United defender Marcos Rojo was present and smoking a cigarette.

Soon after the video appeared on the social network, it was deleted.

Did the Man United defender break social distancing rules during Covid-19 quarantine?

Well, it looks like it.

However, nobody can say for certain when the video in question was shot.

Assuming the video was recorded on Saturday, then Rojo would have broken social distancing rules during Covid-19 quarantine in Argentina.

Rojo, who is under contract at Old Trafford until 2021, joined Estudiantes back in January.

Rojo now stands accused of breaching the social distancing rules on two occasions.

Prior to the video of the poker game, an image has spread on social media showing Rojo out with a few friends.

The image sparked controversy in Argentina, as the Estudiantes defender was wearing a #10 Boca Juniors top, dedicated to Roman Riquelme.

What’s next for Marcos Rojo?

Rojo’s loan deal with Estudiantes was only 6-months long, and there’s no reason to assume the Argentine club will extend the contract, report Ole.

Rojo’s spell at Estudiantes has been blighted by injuries, which is a major factor in why the deal is unlikely to be extended.

That means Rojo is presently set to return to Man United.
