Man United’s Diogo Dalot could make league debut vs Crystal Palace

Dalot to be handed Premier League debut vs Crystal Palace

Diogo Dalot joined Manchester United over the summer from FC Porto for a fee of around £19 million.

However, the full-back came to Old Trafford still nursing an injury he suffered back in April.

As a result, the 19-year-old’s game time has been somewhat limited.

Dalot has made two appearances for United’s under-23 side.

He has also played the full 90 minutes as Man United beat Young Boys 3-0 in the Champions League.

Dalot’s last first-team action saw him play 90 minutes and earn an assist as United crashed out of the League Cup vs Derby County.

The right-back has yet to feature for United in the league this season.

However, one of Dalot’s recent Instagram posts has hinted that that is about to change this week.

Dalot posted a picture on Monday, November 19th with the caption:

“That feeling when you’re ready to help your team again Good week to everyone.”

Given that Luke Shaw is suspended and Antonio Valencia appears to be out of favour with Jose Mourinho, Dalot could well start at right-back this weekend for United.

Manchester United vs Crystal Palace

Man United’s first league game back after the international break is vs Crystal Palace.

United head into the game in a dismal 8th place in the Premier League.

They have played 12, won six, drawn two and lost four, the latest of which saw them lose the Manchester derby 3-1.

United’s defence has also been very poor this season, conceding 21 goals in 12 games.

As for Crystal Palace, they are currently 16th in the league and have just eight points from 12 games.

Palace are also winless in their last five league games, losing four and drawing one.
