Man United’s Chong: Young players were lifted when Solskjaer took over

Manchester United 1-Leicester 0

Manchester United had been on a bit of a poor run of form heading into Saturday’s game with Leicester.

United had lost to Crystal Palace at Old Trafford, and then drew 1-1 with Southampton.

However, United managed to pick up a 1-0 win over Leicester on Saturday, handing Brendan Rodgers’ side their first league defeat of the season.

Manchester United are now up to 4th in the Premier League table.

Chong on Solskjaer

During Manchester United’s win over Leicester, Tahith Chong would come on for the final 20 minutes.

The youngster has played just five games for Manchester United’s first-team.

All of those appearances, though, have come while OGS has been his manager.

Now, Chong has been speaking about Solskjaer, and how all of the young United players were lifted when he took over.

Chong also spoke about Solskjaer giving him a chance in the Champions League vs PSG:

“When Ole Solskjaer took over, the young players were lifted.

“I felt I was dreaming when he gave me a chance in the game against PSG.

“It’s something I dreamt about when I was a kid in the West Indies and I still have the picture in my mind when Marcus Rashford scored the crucial goal for 3-1 in injury-time.

“But at the end of the day it is all down to me. I have to deliver and grab every chance which the manager gives me.” As quoted by the Mirror.
