Wan-Bissaka doesn’t shy away from a tackle!
Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka has explained how much he loves tackling, and revealed the target that he sets himself for each game.
The right-back has started the season impressively, having joined from Crystal Palace during the summer transfer window.
Wan-Bissaka has started both of Man United’s opening Premier League games, and was particularly impressive against Nuno Espírito Santo’s Wolves, making several brilliant tackles.
The 21-year-old arrived on the scene in the last campaign, where he found himself as a first-team regular at Selhurst Park, and one of Palace’s most important players.
Those performances led to interest from the top Premier League teams, and the Englishman eventually ended up at United.
Now, he’s been speaking about how much he loves to tackle, and the target he sets himself for every game.
‘I love tackles, man’
Speaking ahead of United’s clash with former club Crystal Palace, Wan-Bissaka revealed that he aims to come out of games having made the most tackles.
‘I love tackles, man. I want to come out with the most tackles from each game; that’s my aim,’ he explained, as quoted by the Mail.

‘I’m not really happy when I come out of a game without many tackles. At the same time, when I look back at it, it doesn’t mean anything negative, necessarily – it might mean that the winger’s not confident to keep on coming at me, for me to have the chance to tackle him.
‘Wingers hate it. When I was a winger, I hated being tackled! When I attempted to beat a player and he slide-tackled me, I’d just think: “I don’t want to go down there again,” and change the route, change my play, you know?’
