David de Gea to leave Man United?
Since moving to Old Trafford David de Gea has played over 300 games for Man United across all competitions and kept an impressive 123 clean sheets.
The Spaniard is regarded by many as one of, if not the best goalkeeper in the world.
However, Manchester United could be set to lose de Gea in the coming year.
The 28-year-old’s current contract is coming to an end and United have yet to come to terms over a new deal.
De Gea is said to want £350,000 per week, which would make him the clubs joint top earner along with Alexis Sanchez.
PSG are also said to be interested in signing de Gea should he fail to agree on a new deal with the Red Devils.
United to pay £70m for Pickford
As a result, the Mirror is reporting that Man United are planning for life after de Gea and are said to be willing to spend £70 million on Everton and England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
£70m would make Pickford the second most expensive keeper, overtaking Liverpool’s Alisson who cost around £66m.
Pickford has played 59 times for Everton and has kept 16 clean sheets for the Toffees.
Perhaps Pickford’s best displays, however, have come for England. Particularly in the 2018 World Cup were Pickford won the hearts of many England fans making countless top saves.
Pickford is also enjoying a solid 2018/19 campaign. Everton are currently 6th in the Premier League and Pickford has helped them keep four clean sheets so far this season.
