Mind made up
Real Madrid and Wales star Gareth Bale has now made a decision on his future and he’s now chosen exactly where he wants to go.
Bale has chosen that he wants to return to the Premier League, with reports today claiming that the player now knows he must leave.
The forward has struggled with injuries over the past few years and there have been some suggestions that it is down to position he plays for Madrid.
John Toshack recently claimed that he thinks his injury woes may stem from playing on the right wing for the Bernabeu side.
Reports state that Bale doesn’t see this changing anytime soon and if he is to get back to the form he showed at Spurs, he must leave.
Though, the decision now needs to be made on what team he would like to go to and who could actually afford to buy him.
Even with recent troubles in the team and injury problems, Real Madrid are likely to demand what they paid for him when he signed from Spurs.
That would come in at around £89million, a huge fee for any team to fork out.
Manchester United and Chelsea have tried to sign the player in recent years but Tottenham are said to be the players preferred choice.
Don Balon’s report claims that Bale would be open to a move back to Spurs as it would be ‘special’ but it could come down to whether they can afford him.
Safe to say, we haven’t heard the last of this one.
Imagined if we signed Bale back and kept our key players… our squad would be ridiculous
