A fitness update on the Manchester United’s squad has been forthcoming online this afternoon, ahead of their upcoming meeting with Burnley.
United host Burnley
The Red Devils are set to welcome Sean Dyche’s men to Old Trafford tomorrow night, for a Premier League clash.
United will head into proceedings in search of a bounce-back result, having seen a short-lived win streak brought to an end at the weekend.
A trip to Anfield on Sunday evening saw Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s outfit put to the sword by table-topping Liverpool.
Strikes from Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah eventually proved the difference between the historic rivals.
United’s defeat on Merseyside saw the Manchester giants remain 5th in the Premier League table, having failed to capitalise on 4th-placed Chelsea’s slip-up at Newcastle on Saturday.
As such, with Frank Lampard’s Chelsea likely set for a tough test up against London rivals Arsenal tonight, United could potentially close the gap on the top-4 to just 2 points with a victory over Burnley in a little over 24 hours’ time.
The Red Devils’ hopes of doing so, though, have not been aided by ongoings at the club’s training ground today.
As confirmed across social media, key defender Victor Lindelof was forced to depart the Carrington training centre this morning, after falling ill.
The stopper is, as a result, viewed as a doubt to feature versus Bunley:
As per others, Victor Lindelof sent home from training today due to illness. Eric Bailly or Phil Jones favourites to step in alongside Maguire if Lindelof doesn’t recover in time for tomorrow’s game.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also provided an update on star attacker Marcus Rashford, after it was confirmed that the English international is set for an extended spell on the sidelines with a back injury:
Ole on @MarcusRashford’s injury: “He won’t be fit for this game, that’s for sure. He will be out for a while and get the time he needs to recover.
