Man United target Jude Bellingham ‘picks’ Borussia Dortmund

Birmingham’s Jude Bellingham ‘picks’ Borussia Dortmund

Germany’s Sport Bild claim the race to sign Birmingham City’s 16-year-old Jude Bellingham is coming to an end.

In the latest edition of the magazine, it’s reported that Borussia Dortmund are set to land Bellingham.

According to the report, Bellingham is to pick BVB ahead of Bayern Munich and Manchester United.

Who is Jude Bellingham?

Bellingham has broken onto the scene this season at St Andrew’s.

The teenager made his debut for Birmingham back in August, becoming the club’s youngest ever player.

Bellingham has played 32 matches in the Championship, scoring four goals and chipping in with two assists.

Bellingham’s contract with the Blues expires in 2021, so this summer seems the natural time for Birmingham to sell.

Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich

Borussia Dortmund have become specialists at hoovering up some of the best young talent in world football.

England international Jadon Sancho has been remarkable since he moved to the Signal Iduna Stadium.

While, the club’s latest recruit, Erling Haaland, has been sensational following his move in January from Salzburg.

Now, Dortmund appear to be on course to sign Jude Bellingham too.

Sport Bild claim that Bellingham decided to reject a possible move to join Bayern Munich in favour of BVB “weeks ago“.

Of course, at the time of writing, no agreement between Birmingham and Dortmund has been finalised.

Could Manchester United swoop in?

The Evening Standard have peddled the suggestion that Manchester United could sign Bellingham from the Blues.

United fans are lead to believe that the club are trying to bend over backwards to convince Bellingham to join:

Manchester United are obsessed with winning the race for Jude Bellingham.

Bellingham and his family were given the tour (of Old Trafford) last Monday as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer stepped up his pursuit of one of the most sought-after prospects in Europe.

How much will Jude Bellingham cost?

Sticking with the Evening Standard, it’s revealed that Man United have proposed an initial 20 million pound offer for Birmingham.

However, the paper believes that Birmingham are looking for a figure closer to 30 million pounds.
