It has this evening been revealed that Marouane Fellaini has not been included in Manchester United’s squad to face Watford due to injury.
Jose Mourinho’s side travel to Vicarage Road for a tough clash with the in-form Hornets this evening, with the trio of Marcos Rojo, Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic once again included in their squad following lengthy injury layoffs.
The Red Devils come into proceedings on the back of a surprisingly hard-fought victory over Chris Hughton’s Brighton at the weekend, earning two wins and two draws from their last four fixtures across all competitions.
Watford, meanwhile, put a shaky run of form behind them with impressive wins over both West Ham and Newcastle over the last two weeks, with Marco Silva’s side sitting in 8th-place in the Premier League table.
The starting lineups of both clubs were announced a short time ago, with Marcos Rojo restored to United’s XI in a 3-man backline, having been rested at the weekend following his excellent performance versus Basel in the Champions League last week.
Paul Pogba has also shaken off a knock to start, with Jesse Lingard replacing Marcus Rashford in Jose Mourinho’s lineup.
However, there is one notable absentee from the Red Devils’ squad, with midfielder Marouane Fellaini not even included on the bench.

The Belgian powerhouse had been expected to feature, whether from the start or as a substitute, but, as per a report from BBC journalist Shamoon Hafez, Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Fellaini has picked up an injury, and is also a doubt for the weekend:
Marouane Fellaini injured again for #MUFC, says Mourinho. Does not know if he will be fit for Arsenal on Saturday.

Marco Silva, meanwhile, makes just 1 change from his side’s 3-0 victory over Newcastle on Saturday, with Sebastian Prödl replacing Miguel Britos at the heart of the Hornets’ defence:
Happy with that line-up, Hornets fans?! pic.twitter.com/jKnVJ7Y5Wr
