Man United’s poor start
Manchester United have not had the best start to the 2018/19 season.
United are currently in 6th place in the Premier League after playing 16 games.
However, United are already eight points off a Champions League place and have won just one of their last five league games, that win came against 20th place Fulham.
Man United are also already well out of the title race despite it only being December as they sit 16 points off league leaders, Liverpool.
Jose Mourinho’s side were also knocked out of the League Cup by Championship side, Derby County.
Moreover, United have let in 26 goals in 16 league games this season, the joint worse defence of the current top 16 teams.
Man United want Ndombele
As a result, United will no doubt be keen to improve their squad in the upcoming January window.
One player United are said to want to sign is Lyon and France midfielder, Tanguy Ndombele.
According to France Football, Man United are the most determined club to land Ndombele’s signature.
Ndombele has also attracted attention from Man City, Chelsea, Tottenham and PSG.
The French midfielder completed a permanent move to Lyon this summer after spending the 2017/18 season on loan with them.
Ndombele has played 21 games across all competitions this season for Lyon, in which he has scored two and assisted four.
