Felix impresses for Benfica
Joao Felix was moved up to Benfica’s main team at the start of the 2018/19 season.
Felix had previously scored seven and assisted five in 29 games for their second side.
However, despite only making his senior debut this campaign, Felix has already cemented himself as one of the brightest prospects in Portugal.
In 43 games across all competitions, the 19-year-old has scored 20 and assisted 11.

Man United will have to pay big for Felix
After such a superb breakout season, it is no surprise that Felix appears to be attracting the attention of some of Europe’s top clubs.
Both Manchester United and Manchester City have been linked with moves for the wonderkid.
However, it looks to be United who are the more interested of the Manchester clubs, with the Evening Standard claiming that Felix is a top target for the Red Devils this summer.
Unfortunately for United, it doesn’t look as though they will be getting him on the cheap.
This is because according to Benfica’s executive manager Domingos Soares de Oliveira, Felix will only be sold if his £105 million release clause is met:
“The goal is to keep the squad. If someone hits €100m (£88m) for Felix, the intention is not to sell.
“€100m is a lot of money, there has never been a player sold for that amount in Portugal, but the goal is to win on the pitch and we will do everything in that direction.
“Today, if they do not beat the €120m (£105m), the player stays.” As quoted by the Evening Standard.
Felix’s current Benfica contract runs until 2023.
