Going against the grain
Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has tipped Chelsea to come out victorious as they host Jose Mourinho’s side on Saturday.
The hotly anticipated clash will take place at lunchtime and it will see Mourinho come up against his former side.
There could even be a lot at stake with suggestions the Portuguese boss could be sacked depending on the result.
Chelsea are also in fine form under Maurizio Sarri and will go into the game as favourites.
Now, former Man United midfielder Paul Scholes has bet against Jose Mourinho’s side winning the game.
Not very confident with Manchester United
When asked about the score on Robbie Savage’s Premier League Breakfast on Five Live, he predicted that it would finish “One-nil Chelsea”.
‘When you got to Stamford Bridge when the team is flying and full of confidence, it’s always going to be a hard game,’ he explained, as cited by the Daily Mail.
‘Chelsea look very good at the moment, although United can take confidence from the second half against Newcastle. It may have only been against a team second from bottom of the league, but they can grasp on to something.
‘There was that penalty and then a fine David De Gea save, so United really could have been 4-0 down at half-time.
‘They have to take confidence from that second half which was really good and probably the best of the season.
‘But Chelsea is a different story. I just hope we are defensively right and that may then give the forwards a chance to win the game.’
