Andre Gomes has asked to leave Barcelona in the summer with midfielder making just ten starts in all competitions this season, according to Spanish source AS.
Juventus and Manchester United are understood to be showing a keen interest in the 24-year-old who has been booed by the Nou Camp faithful over recent months.
Back in 2016, Gomes joined Barcelona from Valencia in a deal worth £48m, however, the player has endured a torrid time in Catulyana failing to reach his potential.
‘The next Iniesta’
Gomes was one of the hottest talents in Spain during his time at Valencia, generating a huge amount of interest amongst Europe’s elite in gaining his signature.
With legendary midfielder Andres Iniesta entering the final years of his career, Barcelona were keen on signing a replacement with the Portuguese international being brought in to replace him.
However, having accumulated a combined total of just seven goals and assists over two seasons, the midfielder has swiftly fallen out of favour at the Nou Camp.
He is now keen on bringing to an end his nightmare with La Liga leaders Barca by requesting to leave in the summer.
Juve and United interest
Manchester United and Italian giants Juventus have both expressed an interest in signing Gomes, with Tottenham also keen on player previously.
The player is now set to become available in the summer following his demand to leave the club.
